One Year Ago....

One year ago today, I got my braces put on! Coincidently, I had a ortho checkup today thinking that maybe my dentist would surprise me and take them off. No can do.......another 6 months. Sheesh! They're pretty straight, but I guess they need to be straighter. Also, I have a big overbite still and Justin said that he's soon going to put elastics on, linking my top and bottom teeth. Whatever works is what I say.
Yesterday Summer had her first bath (while home) in her new ducky bathtub that Aunt Tanya gave her. She loved it! And she got her first wrinkled feet ever!!!

Also, I received great news today! Well, a couple days ago I tried out for a play my town is putting on. It's Cinderella but the 1997 version with Brandy and Whitney Housten is in it too. There's a lot of singing and dancing in it. So I thought it seemed fit to sing one of my favorite Disney songs for my audition: Part of that World from The Little Mermaid. I was the biggest nerd ever, singing and dancing around. It was fun though. Anyways, I found out today that I'm a STEPSISTER! Pretty excited about that. I LOVE to act and sing! It'll be sooo fun.
Practice's start in January and the play will show 10 times in March! I'm only acting in the first week with the other stepsister/stepmother and the week after a new set of "steps" will perform. I guess there were too many good auditions to turn away! I'm so excited!

Yesterday and today have been sooo great. I love when Bob's on vacation! Love! It's been relaxing so far....well, today wasn't. We went to do a few errands in town before the weekend and we had stimulation overload! Too many people, too many cars, too much to look at. AHHHH. We came home with headaches and just sat on our couch and crashed for 10 minutes....until Summer Lynn woke up. We definitly could have crashed longer. The joys of parenthood. We love it. It's hard for us to imagine (when looking at Summer) last Christmas when we had just found out we were having a baby. Time goes too fast.

Summer is getting really good at lifting her head and body up. Pretty soon she'll be sitting all on her own. She loves her bouncer and bounces like crazy and she loves laying on the floor on her big blanket. She's always trying to put things in her mouth.

Bob's enjoying his little break....break from coaching and work. He deserves it! He works so hard. And he'll still be working on his break :( He's working on a new course.....the PENTATEUC! He's doing it distance learning from Briercrest. I'm pretty sure I tried to take that class my first year of BBC and I'm pretty sure I dropped it like it was hot. Pretty sure. Feel bad for Bob. But he's doing it to help get himself closer to finishing his Masters. Go Bob!

We're very blessed this Christmas. We have great families but it sucks that they're so far away! Please guys, move out here! Follow us wherever we go :) And we have great friends here. What a great town for us to live in. We've developed great friendships with the families who's kids play on the teams Bob coaches. Oh, a couple days ago, we had a jr. high vball wrap up party, the team that I coached with my friend Melissa. It was fun, Linda bought us all ice cream and she (on behalf of the team) got us each these cool warm-up suits! Love it, it's so comfy! And she got me a great cookbook that I'll have to start using! I love new recipes. Thanks Linda! And the team! When I was home to NS visiting, mom taught me how to cook roast, make potato skins, and gravy. MMM. Love cooking tips cuz the Lord knows I need em!

Tonight was a night for firsts.....Bob and I took our precious daughter swimming for the first time. She was unsure at first but after 20 minutes she was kickin and lovin it! So cute! Then we went in the hot tub but I just held her above the water because it was way too hot for her.
