Life As A Daddy...So Far!

On a Sunday in early August I found myself eagerly awaiting the arrival of a special blessing from God. I sat there looking at my wife, who by this time was feeling nothing, as the epideral had finally kicked in and I thought, "Lord! Thank You for my wife and what you are about to bless us with"

I have had tears form in my eyes a few times when I look at Summer, because I see the beauty of Christ and His amazing grace in my life. You know it was the Christian family of my grandfather who stepped outside their world into mine and should me what true parenthood is. They could have stayed inside their little bubble and not worry about the state that my family was in (drinking, cursing etc), but they did not. They knew that the Heavenly Father sent His Son to be with the beggars and stealers, so the least they could do was to come to our trailer park and speak the truth.

I hope as a parent I can feed into my child a sense of understanding that Gods Grace is not just for the saints, it is always there for the sinners, after all in the words of Jerry Reddy, "the true church is not a haven for Saints, but a hospital for sinners"

As the days continue on in her young life and ours as parents, I hope that we can continue to show her love that is unconditional and never segregated.
