Randoms

Dancing with the prince. Calliopie decided that she would laugh infectiously to try to impress the prince. He looks thrilled!

Summer crawling

Candice and John gave me these beautiful flowers after they saw my performance as Calliopie, the stepsister in the Cinderella play.

So I'm having a random tell-all day for my post. As I sit here and type, I peer over the computer to see Summer chewing on a dvd disc. How did she get to the TV so fast!!! My little girl is starting to crawl a bit and now she's everywhere! She's a funny little blessing and I love watching how quirky she can be. When she gets into the crawling position, she rocks back and forth for a while and thinks she's so funny. Then she takes a few steps with her knees and wabbles to the side. Most of the time when she wants to move, she digs her knees to the floor to push her forward. She refuses to use her right arm to help her in this process, and Bob hopes that it's because she's a lefty.
A couple days ago, my friend Melissa and I hung out and her son Jonas (10 months) was trying to show Summer how to crawl. Summer thought Jonas was great fun and reached out and grabbed him to plant one on his cheek. They were very cute.
Melissa tried to get me over my fear of expanding on Summer's food options and gave Summer some cheerios and bread pieces, which she loved. I was just too afraid to give her these things without anyone there in case something went wrong. And by saying "with anyone there", I mean someone who's already had experience feeding babies these things. Melissa's lucky to have her mom living in town to show and tell her everything about babies.
A lot of posts back, Charmin mentioned about finally tackeling her photo's and putting them in photo albums, and not necessarily in order either. I shuddered at the thought. How could something NOT be in order?? I'm all about chronologically ordering things. Alas, last night, I did it. I had two huge empty photo albums and they're all randomly filled (and not in order) with camp pictures when I was 12, baby pictures of myself, pictures before and after Bob and I were married, pictures of ABU and Briercrest. Finally, no random stack of pictures are left piled in ugly shoeboxes. So what if they're randomly placed, I decided. This way, if I decide to use a certain picture to scrapbook or put in a frame, I won't feel so bad about leaving a pictureless spot in my photoalbum; I can just stick any ol picture in that leftover spot.
Bob and I are currently living in one of the Prairie houses....one of the very few that havn't been re-done (new windows, doors, siding, carpet, etc.). Right now, our windows do not open and it gets really hot in the summer. Anyways, we just found out that at the first of June, we can move into a re-done house (actually right next door to us right now)! I hate the thought of packing and moving but it's worth it to have windows that open and doors that aren't broken, and new carpets.
The last couple of weeks, like Anne, I've been packing away some things to sell in a yardsale this spring. I love de-cluttering! It's my favorite thing.
Glenna's anticipating moving out here during the summer and hopefully finding work here in town, hopefully at The Mission as she's waitressed before. So that will be fun!

I didn't give Chloe cheerios for a very long time either. Too scary to take big food steps like that :)
