The Weekend

So this weekend Summer and I went with the boys bball team to zones....which we won! It was lots of basketball in a hot hot gym. But the good thing was, it was soooo nice on the weekend so we could outside and go for walks. It was like, 15 degrees at least. Candice, Summer and I would go to Starbucks, or we'd go to Walmart.
We got Sum a new car seat because she's too big for her old one. So now we have to figure out how this new one works. I tried reading the manual on my own but words and me don't mix. I need to actually SEE how it's done and then I'll understand.
Whenever Bob is trying to explain something to me and I don't get it, he like, turns it into a volleyball story or something I can relate it to, or he'll use objects so that I can try to picture what he's saying. I'm just a visual learner and he's an auditory learner. That's why I can't give or take directions unless it's drawn out.
Anyways, Summer stuck to her normal napping routine on the weekend, which I'm always afraid will throw her off. The time change wasn't too bad either.
We didn't think we had enough room to bring the playpen for her to sleep in, so we put her to sleep on the other bed in our room with pillows around her. She slept all night and everytime she moved, I always woke up because I was paranoid her being on the bed. Anyways, at 6am, we heard it.....a thud!!!!!! My poor Sum fell off the bed!!!! Bob and I screamed and jumped out of bed so fast that I probably forgot to breathe and went into this coughing fit! She was facedown in between the bed and the wall. I think falling into that narrow space broke up her fall a little. I picked her up and protective daddy rips her from my arms to comfort her. She only cried a couple minutes and then dad checked her legs, arms, face and head to see if there were any bumps or anything. Thankgoodnes she just had a tiny little red mark on her head that disappeared in like, an hour.
Why didn't we think to ask the hotel if they had any playpens? Why didn't we just bring our own even though the bus was crowded? Why didn't I put her on the floor to sleep with pillows around her? We've learned our lesson!


Such a bad picture of Bob and I...oh well. Right after the pic was taken, Bob was all, "I think I closed my eyes in that one". So I go to preview it and died laughing cause as you can see, they're nowheres near closed!
