I've had a frustrating day. Teaching grade ones today was very busy because I had a lot of NOT simplistic activities for them to do. And they were just loud. Why can't teachers train their students to be quiet, well-mannored students like my kindergartener's are?
Anyways, Bob's ball team had a double header tonight and they won both games. Go Raiders! On to the finals for them.
And I ran into my principle tonight (kinda hard not to when she lives next door to me) and we got to talking about the kindergarten closing program which is happening in a week and one day and I'm not the least bit prepared. And am I even excited about it? No. I don't get what the big deal is....none of the other grades have their OWN closing program. Why does kindergarten have to be set apart from the rest of the grades? Only because that's how they've always done it? Well screw tradition is what I say. Sorry, just a little frustrated.
Anyways, I'll try to grin and bear it and figure out the layout of how such a program should unfold.
High of the day: Having a 10 minute nap before the softball games.
Low of the day: I got really angry when I caught some of the grade ones THROWING around my board games. Oh was I angry! How dare they disrespect my things! I lit a strip into them. But I'm not a mean teacher....really! I just don't tolerate disrespecting actions.
